The idea
Combine a room’s measured acoustic, magnetic, or pressure context with a trusted nearby device as one factor in an encrypted workshop file or game unlock.
How it works
- Record a room baseline from acoustic response, magnetic field, and pressure readings.
- At unlock time, compare fresh readings with the baseline and optionally verify proximity to an authenticated device.
- Use standard cryptographic checks for the file or game while treating room measurements as a changing context factor.
AI’s role: Compare environmental readings with a locally stored baseline and explain a match; standard cryptography and an authenticated trusted device perform security checks.
First demonstration
Measure the same room and adjacent spaces, then repeat after moving furniture. Compare acceptance rates and exercise a fallback when environmental readings drift.
What to solve next
How much do replayed sounds, room changes, and environmental drift affect acceptance, and what fallback keeps a noisy context factor from locking someone out?
